Calling All Graduates with Disabilities WAM mentored work placements 2008/2009 starting soon!

Written by WAM

The Willing Able Mentoring (WAM) Programme is an exciting and innovative venture providing a unique opportunity for both graduates with disabilities and employers to improve inclusion in the workplace for all.

WAM 08/09 is a FÁS funded initiative whose central aim is to promote access to the mainstream Irish labour market for graduates with disabilities by working with employers to change mindsets, perceptions, and cultures. This will be achieved through the provision of paid and mentored work placements for graduates with disabilities within some of the major employers in the Irish labour market. WAM placements within these organisations will come on stream throughout 2008 and 2009.

If you are a graduate with a disability and want to gain some valuable work experience, or would like more information on the WAM Programme, please call: 01 2789325 or email: wam@ahead.ie
