WAM Recruitment Fair in Dublin Castle on 1st July 2008

The FAS funded WAM (Willing Able Mentoring) project recruitment fair for employers and graduates with disabilities took place on July 1^st 2008 in Dublin Castle.   Mr. John Moloney, Minister for Equality, Disability & Mental Health launched the event which was very well received with over 200 people in attendance. 

Companies involved in the programme include: Abbott Ireland, Bank of Ireland, The Civil Service, DCU, IBM International Ltd, Irish Life & Permanent, Microsoft Ireland, An Post and RTÉ.   Placements in some of the companies will  begin in September 2008.

Activities on the day included:

• a series of workshops
• the announcement of our MRBI poll results of over 300 companies and,
• the opportunity to link up with major Irish employers participating in the programme.
